There's a special road to travel as a writer. All of us must steer onto it if we want to see our words in print. There are bumps as we learn to write to make a connection to the editor/publisher/agent/reader. There are potholes - rejections can be ugly potholes. But if an editor adds a note of any kind, the drive seems a bit smoother. And the traffic, that large number of people who call themselves writers, the competition, is heavy too.
